Because I know people in Russia... across multiple layers of society, and I don't see any reason for this "change" that the West keeps writing about. People at the top are making money like never before, people at the bottom are blinded by their nationalism. The system works now. There's no major dissent to speak of. Those who disagree, leave the country. it's brilliant.
