Russia-Ukraine War or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
2 min readFeb 1, 2023
I was going to write a long article on all the wonderful things that have happened in and around Ukraine over the past couple of months, such as
- Slow but steady Russian advances in Donbas
- Systematic (and highly successful) Russian bombardment of critical infrastructure
- Ukraine’s pathetic air defenses operating from urban areas and firing missiles that routinely blow up their own buildings, when they don’t end up in Poland…
- Zelensky’s internal conflict with Zaluzhny as well as the ongoing struggle with regional governments and city mayors.
- All the various corruption scandals in Ukraine, culminating in today’s mass searches and subsequent sidelining of major political and business figures
- Ukraine’s totalitarian control over the media
- Bill Gates calling Ukraine’s government “one of the worst in the world”
- Ukraine’s huge losses in the East and attempts to restock its military by grabbing people off the streets and sending them to the frontlines
- Ukraine’s imminent demographic and financial collapse
- Political spats between Ukraine and Hungary over discriminatory treatment of the Hungarian ethnic minorities in Western Ukraine
- Poland and its eternal longing for the glorious past, which included all of Belarus and much of today’s Ukraine…
- United States and its puppet games
- Global arms trade and its new golden age, including Boeing’s rebirth moment
- The “friendly” competition for control over Ukraine between the US and the UK
- The relation between Ukraine and Taiwan, as far as the US military is concerned
- The growing role of China
- The overall cluelessness and gullibility of the general population
- And the overarching human greed that knows no limits…
But instead, I put together a couple of comics :D
Enjoy!
